USAGE

• How do I switch on the purgaty® brain? 
  Briefly: Press the "g" of purgaty® to switch it on. The battery charge level is displayed in colour. 
• How do I activate the disinfection process? 
  Press and hold the "g" again while the battery status is displayed. Duration: About 1 second to start the disinfection cycle. After only 55 seconds your water is ready to drink.
• Does the purgaty® bottle keep beverages cold or warm? 
  The 500 ml vacuum-insulated stainless steel bottle keeps cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours or hot drinks warm for up to 12 hours. 
• How often has the purgaty® brain to be recharged? 
  One charge is sufficient for up to 60 disinfection cycles. Depending on the battery level shown on the display, you will know whether you need to charge the purgaty® brain.
• How do I charge the purgaty® brain? 
  The purgaty® brain can be charged via any USB socket (USB power supply unit, laptop, power bank, ...). The USB-C connection of the purgaty® brain is located under the edge of the cap and is splash-proof.
• How long does a charging process take? 
  A complete charge (with a completely discharged battery) of the purgaty® brain takes about 2.5 hours at 800mA charging current, depending on the USB source used.
• Which battery is used with the purgaty® brain? 
  The purgaty® brain is equipped with a long-life and extremely high-quality lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh.
• Will the purgaty® bottle make any noise? 
  No, the purgaty® is noiseless.
• Does the cleaning affect the taste? 
  No, cleaning using UV-C Technology has no effect on the taste.
• For which beverages are the purgaty® bottles suitable? 
  You can fill your purgaty® bottles with any beverage. The vacuum-insulated 500ml bottle keeps your drinks cold/warm 24/12. Note that the purgaty® brain is only suitable and tested for disinfecting water. If you use other beverages than water, please make sure to clean the bottle thoroughly by hand.

• How big are the purgaty ONE / ONE Light (bottle with purgaty® brain) bottles and how much do they weigh? 
  500ml purgaty vacuum insulated bottle: 420g / 27.8 cm; 700ml purgaty light sport bottle: 360g / 27,8 cm
• What colours and models are available for the purgaty® bottles? 
  Please have a look in our shop! Because there will be new colours and products available. 
• What material are the purgaty® bottles made of? 
  The purgaty® bottles are made of particularly durable and hygienic stainless steel (ANSI 304 or 1.4301, EN X5CrNi18-10). These are BPA-free and FDA-approved.

• Has the purgaty® system been tested? 
  The promise of purgaty® to produce drinking water in only 55 seconds from contaminated water in accordance with the European Drinking Water Regulation has been tested and confirmed by the accredited environmental laboratory Eurofins. 
• For what water quality was the purgaty® system tested?
  The purgaty® system was tested with the 500ml vacuum-insulated stainless steel bottle containing contaminated water (germ counts correspond to normal drinking water sources as well as naturally occurring water sources that do not show sedimentation/cloudiness - see Eurofins® test report) 
• What happens to the germs? 
  By irradiation with 265nm UV-C light, the germs are inactivated and rendered unable to reproduce. Thus they lose their harmful effect in water. 
• Does the bottle remove heavy metals and fluoride? 
  Yes, with an external filter attachment the bottle can also reduce the contamination of heavy metals and fluoride in the water. It also improves the taste. More coming soon. 
• Does the bottle also remove sediment?
  Yes, with an external filter attachment (which will be released shortly) the bottle can also reduce the load of sediments. It also improves the taste. More coming soon.
• How does the purgaty® bottle work? 
  We are happy to provide you with information on this in the technology section of our website. 
• How long does the UV-C LED last? 
  Depending on the application ~1.000.000 cycles.

APPLICATION

• Can I put the purgaty® bottle in the freezer or refrigerator? 
  Yes, that is possible. 
• Can I take my purgaty® bottle with me on the plane? 
  The purgaty® bottle is permitted at security checks as long as it is not full.
• Do I have to clean the purgaty® bottle? 
  If you use the purgaty® products correctly and only use them for water, almost never. You should clean the purgaty® bottle with soap and warm water after using it for other drinks.
• Can I use the bottle for drinks other than water? 
  You can fill your purgaty® bottles with any drink. The vacuum-insulated 500ml bottle keeps your drinks cold/warm 24/12. Note that the purgaty® brain is only suitable and tested for disinfecting water. If you use beverages other than water, please make sure to clean the bottle thoroughly by hand.
